On 20-22 July 2008, the Sathya Sai World Foundation held an Education Conference in Prasanthi Nilayam, with over 1000 overseas delegates from 90 countries taking part, as well a delegates from the India Sai Organization, the Srai Sathya Sai University, and the Sri Sathya Sai Baba International Centre in New Delhi.

Swami graciously spoke to the conference delegates on all three days of the conference and responded publically and privately to many questions collected from Pre-World Education Conferences, which were held in 73 countries.

An exhibition was held in the Poornachandra Auditorium of the expansive work being done in India and around the world in Sri Sathya Sai Education programs.

Immediately following the conference Swami approved on an interim basis guidelines for Sathya Sai Schools and Institutes.
