From a devotee in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.
I just came back from the morning darshan at the Hillview stadium. I don't know what happened in the last 24 hrs., but it seemed as though the whole universe arrived here. The stadium and the stands could not accommodate the crowds, so they were all around a square mile approx. Imagine a crowd from Euclid Ave., East 9th and Lake Erie, standing still and jam packed. Watching the crowd itself is enough to feel the joy and anticipation of His darshan. These million plus crowd could not get enough of Swamy who wanted to make sure that everyone there got atleast one laddu. Some estimated the crowd at two million.
There was confetti showered from the helicopter in all colors, baloons, fireworks and Swamy in His white robe could be seen just as a small white dot. The flag ceremony and the morning program was breath taking and spectacular, so also His morning discourse. He was very elaborate in touching a lot of people's thoughts including their doubts. I am assuming that you will receive the entire discourse on the net today sometime. He said His mission will be carried by this Garuda (eagle) with two wings, one Service and the other Love. There will be many doubting thomases and He said, focus on Him and His message, working quietly and confidently. He said Jealousy and Envy are rampant and people are not satisfied with all the gifts they received and there is no limit to their desires.
He said some have asked Him to do certain things that are not proper and He will never do anything that is illegal and improper. I believe we can understand quite well what He is referring to. He also stressed the great need for 'self confidence' and self satisfaction. He also elaborated and praised Abraham Lincoln for his fortitude and self confidence.
The crowds were so large, it took me half an hour to travel 20 feet and in fact I retreated, waited for an hour and then went back in. The main gate was simply impossible to approach. In spite of all this, I am extremely happy that He allowed me to be with Him. ... Please feel free to forward to this anyone you feel appropriate. Sai Ram.
