Re: Volunteer teachers for the Sathya Sai School

Sai Ram,

The Sathya Sai School of Thailand is in the process of upgrading the level of English for all students. As part of this, we are starting a bi-lingual programme so that the students are exposed to more English. We would like to have English medium for such subjects as math, science, physics, chemistry, biology, computers, English as a second language etc. In fact any subject except Thai language and social studies can be taught in English. We would like to invite Sai devotees who are professional teachers to volunteer to come to the school for at least one year. All their living expenses would be covered by the school including their travel to and from Thailand. They would also receive a token living allowance or pocket money.

We request your assistance in this matter as we would be unable to personally interview any candidates as distance would not permit, so we would need recommendation from yourself or centre presidents. We also rely on your help to circulate this information. Our requirements are as follows:

Professional teachers
People of good morals and character
Vegetarians and of course no smoking or drinking
Live up to Sai principles
Love children and want to serve

Our new school year begins on May 1, 2008 – March 15, 2009, so ideally we would like the teachers to come at this time, however we are aware that term-times are different in other countries, therefore availability may vary somewhat. We also require a detailed bio-data of the teachers as well as recommendation letters.

If you are interested, please contact the Zone Chair of your Zone in the Intl Sai Organization. If you don't know who this is, contact your local Sai Organization Centre president and ask them to help you.

Thank you in advance for your help in this matter,
Yours in Sai Service,

Dr. Art-ong Jumsai Na Ayudhya
C.E.O. of the Sathya Sai School of Thailand
